September 11th - 18th 2022

Time in the small village of Adrasan seems to stand still.

Far from the large tourists centres you will find a very original form of tourism, no high rise apartments, no motorways, no city sirens, just the slow pace of rural Turkey, nestled amongst the pomegranate groves and overlooking our pristine Mediterranean bay lies the Lykia retreat centre.

Daily suggested schedule:

Monday - Saturday

7am -- Silent walk to the beach and swim

8am -- Light breakfast

9am - 11am -- Yoga

11am - Brunch

2pm - Lunch

5:30pm - 7pm -- Yoga

8pm -- Dinner

The spacious en suite huts are located on the retreat centre grounds around the main Lykia hub and swimming pool.

Rooms are based on single occupants or a sharing double room (single and double beds available) at different costs.

Cats, dogs, kittens. tortoises and chickens roam the grounds in (relative) harmony.

Included in the cost the centre offers 3 excellent buffet style meals a day made by local Adrasan cooks, meals are mostly vegetarian but include vegan options, as well as the occasional fish dish.

Breakfast brings buckets of oranges ready to squeeze for fresh juices next to a selection of fresh herbs picked from the surrounding gardens to create your own herbal teas, along with Turkeys famously strong coffee for those needing an extra boost in the morning!

Bowls of fresh fruit, yogurt, museli, nuts, seeds, milk and honey are there to provide a light breakfast before class or eggs, toast and a variety of preserves for anyone wanting something a little warmer.

Lunch rolls out all the colours and flavours Adrasans sun drenched vegetable gardens can offer, the greenest salads, sweet tomatoes and handmade cheeses, along with fresh savoury pastries and our local cooks on hand to make you omelettes with your chosen filling.

Dinner shows just how creative and talented our chefs are, different recipes every night ensure new flavours and sensations on offer to keep you dreaming about the food until the following year, and we haven't even mentioned the desserts, some things are better kept as a surprise...

Alcohol is available from the fully stocked bar within the retreat centre, you can start a tab at the beginning of your stay and pay at the end.

However you'd like to spend your afternoons, the surrounding area offers a wealth of history and activity, the short walk to the beach has a wide variety of cafes and restaurants to explore or for the more adventurous the mountains have trails that hug the stunning coastline and run for hours.

The local area was once part of Caesars Roman empire, many of the settlements and monuments still remain, and fascinating guided tours can be arranged through our centre.

One of the highlights of the week will be an amazing boat trip along the beautiful coastline where we’ll regularly stop for a swim in the crystal clear bays, take mud baths with their naturally nutrient rich soil, do a bit of sea turtle spotting all before enjoying a fresh seafood lunch cooked for you on the boat washed down with a cold beer.

Getting there:

Flights to Antalya airport are regularly available, a shuttle bus will be arranged through the retreat centre to pick us up on arrival and drop us back the airport upon departure.

The schedule for this retreat will be shared with my father Ray Hassan, who has taught power yoga in Cardiff for the last 15 years and brings his own unique, more sweary style of movement.
